Taylormade, Callaway, Cobra, Ping & Wilson Staff Golf Certified Fitter

A great golfer will find a way of making a set of clubs work for them, but rather than adapting your swing to your clubs, maybe you should look for an expert golf club fitter? If you’ve ever wondered what a session involves, it will start with taking measurements of all your golf clubs, measuring lie angle, loft, shaft length, total club weight, and swing weight to name a few. Your clubs should be built to maximise your swing, so by having a set of clubs built for your swing, you have one less thing to worry about. Taking advantage of expert fitting means you have complete confidence in your equipment, which means you only have yourself left to worry about. Be reassured knowing that your golf clubs are best suited to you, and book in an expert fitting session. Call me or get in touch via the contact form for more details, availability, and pricing.

Algarve Pro Tour Competitor 2015-2018

During the winter months of 2017 and 2018, I had the pleasure of competing on the Portugal Pro Tour in the Algarve. The Portugal Pro Tour meant competing with some of the best golfers in Europe including Richard Mansell, Paul Laurie and many more. This Tour was treated as a warm-up for those big names you hear playing on the European Tour, and was great practice, just before the season kicked off. The winner each week would usually be around 10 or 11 under par over the 2 rounds! I was lucky enough to be able to play most weeks on the PPT and managed a few top 10’s over the 2 years I spent out there. I learnt a huge amount when it came to course management and gained an insight into what the top guys were doing so I could compare and focus on those areas myself. It was a fantastic experience, a privilege to be part of it and a time in golf I’ll never forget. This really shaped my career and made my decision a little easier when choosing to continue to play golf for a living, or whether to begin coaching. I am so glad I chose to pursue a coaching career and look forward to helping many more achieve their golf dreams over the coming years.

Foundation Degree in Tournament Golf and Sports Science

Turning my passion into a career was an easy decision, but for anyone looking to pursue a career in this industry, it does take drive, determination and commitment.

Gaining a foundation degree in Tournament Golf and Sports Science, meant working alongside a world-class team of experts and lecturers. A great course for those wishing to become a health sports professional or similar, both degrees equip you with some great key skills for your future career. Sports Science looks at how sport and physical activity promote health physically, mentally and socially and looks at how our bodies work during exercise. The study of golf as a sport incorporates many other academic subjects, such as Physiology, Psychology, Anatomy, Engineering and Chemistry so it was really interesting applying these to my golf coaching. Their philosophy was very similar to mine, in that they encourage you to enjoy the journey, and that’s 100% what golf is all about for me. I am a hard-working, solution-based thinker, and that’s some of the skill required to be a top player.

Ground Reaction Force Specialist

Why not talk to me about why ground reaction force is so important when it comes to your golf swing. Working with golfers of all skill levels, I enjoy helping each golfer toward their improvement and self-sufficiency goals. As part of a lesson, I’ll explain Ground Reaction Force and show you how to apply the the forces for improved ball-striking consistency and power. As well as talking golf swing Forces & Torques, we can delve into a much deeper understanding of Ground Force Reaction across 3  different dimensions. Vertical Rotation around the Center of Mass (CoM); Horizontal Rotation around CoM and Lateral Movement of CoM. Using exercises and drills, we can learn how to apply force correctly to maximize Ground Reaction Force for improved clubhead speed.
